OTP device.

device.
EXAMINE Reads the contents of the OTP to the emulator code memory.
CHECKSUM Calculates the checksum of the OTP device only and displays
it on the screen. (Note: Checksum differences are explained in
the “OTP” section in Chapter 4: Summary of Windows,
Commands, and Operations.)
ROM protect ROM protection programming option.
RAM protect RAM protection programming option.
Low Noise Low-noise programming option for Z86E08 and Z86E04 only.
RC RC programming option.
Notes:
1. Do not keep the OTP device in the ZIF socket while in Emulation Mode.
2. When programming a device, ensure that other programming sockets are empty.
Emulator Test Points
There are seven numbered test points on the back of the emulator; however, not all of the
test points are used. The following table lists and describes the test points.
Table 2-4. Emulator Test Points
Number Description
1 Ground
2 Goes low during data strobe when the Z8 accesses a
breakpoint location.
4 Goes high whenever the emulator is emulating due to a GO;
goes low due to a STOP operation.
7 If this input is low (for example, if jumpered to Test Point 1),
the emulator doesn't stop emulating when it reaches a
breakpoint, but continues to produce a pulse on Test
Point 2.) This feature allows you to use the Breakpoint facil-
ity of the emulator to control or trigger external equipment.
